Felabration 2018: Ric Hassani, Made Kuti, Artquake light up second day of music festival

From Ric Hassani to Made Kuti, Airboy and Remi Aluko, the second day of Felabration 2018 delivered some energetic performances.

The annual event held in memory of the late Abami Eda, Fela Anikulapo Kuti hosted by his dynasty started on Monday, October 15 at its traditional home of the Afrikan Shrine.

The Afrikan Shrine also played host to the other artists that included YQ, Artquake, Dapo Turbuna, Airboy and Fuji singer, Remi Aluko.

The night also had the Positive Force opening performances with Femi Kuti leading the band.

Also spotted at the night were comedians, Omo Baba and De Don.

There was also a dancing competition which was had competitors winning various prizes courtesy Legend stout.

As usual, the night witnessed a large turnout of fans, both regular visitors, foreigners and first timers on the first day of the festival.

Over the years, Felabration has been widely celebrated by fans both within and outside the country and has attracted a wide pool of superstars from all over the world like Femi Kuti, Hugh Masakela, Wizkid, Lucky Dube, Awilo Longomba, Baba Maal, Les Nubians, King Sunny Ade, Burna Boy, Lagbaja, Asa and 2baba, to name a few.

This years edition which is themed 'Overtaking Overtake' coincides with the 80th post-humous celebration of the life of Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
