"The producer had called me three years ago and told me about this film, and said 'dude, I advise you to start learning your Hausa.' But I'm like 'what's so difficult in that?'

"It hit me because when I got to set, we were only like two actors that didn't know how to speak Hausa properly, and myself. The entire set crew, most of the actors, were from the North.  And my character was a born and bred person in the North."

"I had a dialect coach who would follow me literally everywhere, and just talk and chat with me. I ended up getting a Hausa accent. She would just call me and converse with me in the Hausa accent. I had to speak Hausa for two months. When I left Abuja, and I came back to Lagos to shoot, I was still talking in my Hausa accent, because I had to learn it for two months."

The actor also spoke on who has benefited most from his career as an entertainer. According to him, his beautiful Jessica Duncan has benefited most.

Duncan also spoke on his role in the upcoming second season of "Husbands of Lagos."
