The calendar then gets a hiatus until May, when a slate of titles return familiar faces and ushers in heroic new characters.

The first Marvel title of 2022 will be Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, who also supervised the Tobey Maguire-led Spider-Man trilogy. It will be followed by Thor: Love and Thunder, which will see Natalie Portman as a new member of the MCU. The highly anticipated Black Panther sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever remains unconfirmed due to production delays.
Hopefully, the COVID-19 variants would have subsided by then so we can see these movies at the theatres.
Regardless, three television series will premiere on Disney+ in 2022. These series will usher in a load of new personalities into the MCU. Ms. Marvel stars 19-year-old actress Iman Vellani as the teenage hero hoping to walk in the path of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. Ethan Hawke and Oscar Isaac will present a hard-hitting world in Moon Knight while Tatiana Maslany is ready to use her green strength to render a helping hand of justice in She-Hulk.
Adapted for Television by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty, Silicon Valley) She-Hulk being a 10-episode series will tell the origin story of Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a lawyer who specializes in superhuman legal cases and can morph into a big, strong, green superhero similar to that of her cousin 'Bruce Banner'(Mark Ruffalo) who we know as the Incredible Hulk. Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role in the mini-series, as a male counterpart or a mentor for Jennifer as she figures out and harness her powers similar to the way Clint Barton is doing for Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye.
Aside from Mark Ruffalo, another familiar face we'll see is 'Tim Roth' 'the Abomination'. Tim played the big bad 'Abomination' in 2008's The Incredible Hulk and briefly made an appearance in the recent Shang-Chi and the Legend the Ten Rings. Jameela Jamil from The Good Place was also cast as a supervillain 'Titania' who will be She-Hulk's nemesis.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has also confirmed that She-Hulk would be a legal comedy and will break the fourth wall just as she does in the comics.
