Victoria Beckham wins Glamour Women of the Year 2015

Victoria Beckham beat Caitlyn Jenner to become Glamour magazine's 'Woman of the Year 2015'.

The mother-of-four was handed over her award by her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, at the Carnegie Hall on Monday, November 9, in New York City.

The 41-year-old fashion designer was one of many women being honored  for their powerful voices and work in the world."I’m spending a lot of time in Africa working very closely with the U.N., speaking on behalf of the incredible women that I’m working with and it took me getting to 40 years old to realize I have a powerful voice,” Victoria said on Good Morning America.

Although Caitlyn Jenner lost out to the title to the former Spice Girl, she was recognized at Glamour magazine's 25th annual Women of the Year awards for her advocacy work in the LGBT community and was hailed "The Trans Champion."

In her speech, the former Olympian – who announced she was transgender in an April Diane Sawyer interview before introducing herself as Caitlyn on the cover of Vanity Fair in June –  opened up about life leading up to her transition, how it's changed since and the effect it's had on her famous family (including daughter Kylie, 18, who attended the event with Caitlyn).

"Of all the things I've done in my life, Caity is why God put me on this earth: to tell my story; to be honest with myself about who I am. And in doing that, making a difference in the world. And I'm very happy to be living on the other side…  There was a French activist and writer, Simone de Beauvoir, who said, 'You are not born woman. You become one' ... Words I live by," the 66-year-old told the crowd.
