3 Nigerian celebrities who have made controversial statements on domestic violence

Here are some Nigerian celebrities who have made eye raising statements on domestic violence.

We are going to be giving you insights on the views of five celebrities on this controversial topic- domestic violence.

1) Monalisa Chinda

The veteran and pretty actress while on Channels TVs "The Other News" hosted by Okey Bakassi, said women play a major role in domestic violence. She was of the opinion that women have an uncanny way with words and know just how to get under a man's skin with their mouth.

She advised women to refrain from provoking their men to the point where they begin to use their fists.

2) Empress Njamah

The Nollywood actress actually had a different opinion on domestic violence While in an interview with Broadway Africa TV, on May 17, 2017, she said most times people tend to forget that a lot of men actually suffer more from domestic violence from their wives.

He also said some women are headstrong and they can actually traumatize their partner mentally, that can actually make them run mad.

3) Yul Edochie

The Nollywoodactor who posted a video on his Instagram page said he would never support men who hit their wives but he thinks women have a major role to play.

He said as Africans we do things differently, so women should respect their husbands even if he doesn't know what he is doing.
