Joke Silva's mother has died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 89.

The deceased, Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva, who died peacefully on Sunday morning July 19th, was the third female doctor in Nigeria but the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree.
The icon, who died aged 89, was also bestowed with the honourable award of Officer of the Order of The Niger (OON).
She's survived by her children and grandchildren.
