Allegations and counter allegations have been making the rounds during the run-up of the Edo governorship election.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole alleged sometime ago, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hired 8,000 militants to disrupt the polls.

The PDP on the other hand, alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was planning to rig the polls in conjunction with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

A video has however surfaced, showing members of the APC paying N2,000 each to voters who voted twice, according to Daily Post.

The PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Ize-Iyamu, had earlier alleged that Governors Akinwunmi Ambode and Nasir El-Rufai relocated to Edo state to influence the polls.

Meanwhile, the Lagos state government has dismissed the allegation and called on the  public and security operatives to ignore the ‘desperate lies’ of Ize-Iyamu.
