The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has approved March 19, 2016 for the party`s national convention.

The party has also condemned the arrests of its members by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), saying the fight against corruption is one sided.

This is contained in the time-table for the party's 2016 Chapter Congresses and National Convention signed by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh in Abuja on Thursday.
According to the time-table, the party's Ward Congresses is scheduled for Feb. 27, 2016, while the NWC also approved March 5, 2016 for the party’s Local Government Area Congresses.
The NWC also approved March 12, 2016 for State Congresses and March 16, 2016 for its Zonal Congresses.

Speaking on the arrest of Hight Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the PDP spokesperson, Metuh said the chairman of DAAR communications is being victimised.
