Billionaire businessman backs Ambode's re-election bid

Femi Otedola endorses Ambode for second term, says Governor will completely transform Lagos in another 4 years.

According to Otedola, should Ambode get a second term, he will make Lagos the third largest economy in Africa. Nigeria’s commercial capital is currently the 5th largest economy on the continent.

“He is building roads and bridges, schools and hospitals, water treatment plants, sewage and storm water drainages, solid waste management plants and mass transport infrastructure”,the billionaire said.

“He recently got approval for the electricity power infrastructure for Lagos, which when fully executed, will make Lagos State almost energy independent in Nigeria.

“You are all aware of the newly-acquired mass transit buses that are going to be natural gas powered in order for us in Lagos to be the first to comply with the global climate agenda of de-carbonisation,” Otedola added.

Masterplan

Otedola commended Ambode for following the path laid by his predecessors and for sticking to the Lagos masterplan.

Lagos Governor Ambodewill be up for possible eviction from government house, Alausa, in 2019.

His political party, the APC, has maintained a stranglehold on the State since the country’s return to democracy in 1999—albeit under a different name at the time.
