‘APC planning to destabilize PDP,’ Metuh says

Metuh stated this on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, during a meeting of the PDP national leadership in Abuja.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to destabilize the party.

The meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing the outcome of the April 11 governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.

“We are aware that some elements within our party have been co-opted by the APC to destabilise our party after the outcome of the results of the 2015 general elections. While others have defected to the APC, some have been asked to stay behind to be used to execute the plot but the NWC will not allow this to happen,” Metuh said.

The victory of the APC in the March 28 presidential election led to a mass exodus from the former ruling party.

APC National Chairman, John Oyegun has however urged the defectors to stay in their own party and be part of a formidable opposition.
