Muhammadu Buhari has been sworn in as Nigeria’s fourth democratically elected President.

Today, May 29, 2015, at the Eagle Square in Abuja, Buhari promised to uphold Nigeria’s constitution without fear or favour; and Nigerians believed him.

Shouts of “Sai Baba, Sai Buhari” rent the air as Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mahmoud Mohammed administered the oath and declared the 72-year-old as Nigeria’s new leader.

With the whole world watching, Buhari gave a warm hug to his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan who will be heading to his hometown of Otuoke in Bayelsa state.
