Many APC members defect to PDP

The mass defection occurred in the Akure North Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, July 10, 2016.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information, Akinmade Kayode, who received the defectors on behalf of Governor Olusegun Mimiko, via a statement.

“It has become glaring that it will be difficult for any party to meet or surpass the achievements of the PDP government in the state,” the statement quoted one of the defectors, Joseph Owolagba, as saying.

“The hardship in the country is becoming unbearable. The prices of commodities have soared beyond the reach of the common man,” he added.
