Lawmakers serve impeachment notice on Governor Chime

Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly have served an impeachment notice on Governor Sullivan Chime, according to reports.

The notice was served on Monday, May 4, 2015, by a faction of the lawmakers, led by Speaker, Eugene Odoh.

The 14 lawmakers in support of the move have commenced impeachment proceedings against the governor following allegations of gross misconduct.

The legislators also accused the governor of forging the N12 billion 2012 Supplementary Budget.

In similar news, Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari of Kebbi State also had an impeachment notice was served on him on Wednesday, April 29.
