Adesina also said that the government has 48 months to fulfill its mandate.

He made the comments on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, while appearing on Channels TV.

“No government can solve enormous problems that it inherited in 21 months, and government has a mandate that lasts for 48 months, and when you’re in a long distance race, you pace yourself, lest you burn out before you reach the mark, and that is what government is doing,” Adesina said.

Adesina also spoke on the nationwide anti-government protests which were conducted around the country on Monday, February 6.

The presidential aide had earlier said that the protests were being planned by people who had supported former president, Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 elections.
