Buhari sweeps Ogun, thrashes Jonathan

Buhari swept 13 local government areas of the state while Goodluck Jonathan won in seven out of 20 local governments.

The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari has been announced winner of the presidential election in Ogun State, having polled 308,290.

Buhari swept 13 local government areas of the state while Goodluck Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party won in seven out of 20 local governments in the state.

The state collation officer,  Dr. Duro Oni, who announced the total results of the election, said that Buhari secured 308, 290 in all the total votes cast of 559,613.

He disclosed that Jonathan got 207, 950 in all the 20 local governments, with the total valid votes being 533, 172.

According to Oni, Buhari won in Ijebu Nirth-East, Odogboolu, Abeokuta North,  Ado-Odo/Ota, Abeokuta South,  Ewekoro, Obafemi-Owode, Ijebu-Ode and Odeda, Egbado South, Ifo , Egbado North and Ipokia local governments.

While Jonathan won in Ikenne, Ijebu-North,  Ijebu-East, Sagamu, Imeko-Afon, Remo-North and Ogun waterside.
