It was gathered that Atiku actually came to familiarise himself with the party leaders ahead of the party’s presidential primary in 2019.

The former Vice President has largely stayed away from the party secretariat since President Muhammadu Buhari's inauguration.

Atiku has come under severe attacks by some APC leaders after he called for the restructuring of Nigeria adding that President Buhari refused to learn from the past administration.
