Court remands man in jail over rape of 4-yr-old boy

Isa reportedly lured the complainant’s son to his room and had carnal knowledge of him through the anus.

The accused who is a resident of Dandago Quarters Kano was charged to court on a two-count charge of defilement and homosexuality.

Daily Post reports that the Prosecutor, Insp. Pogu Lale, said that one Muhammad Ayuba reported the matter at Gwale police Division on August 13.

According to the reports, the defendant committed the offence on August 12 at his residence.

“The defendant later gave him (the boy) groundnut and asked him not to tell anyone. The boy, however, told his father,” he said.

The offence contravened Section 284 of the Criminal code of Kano State.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Muhammad Jibril, ordered the defendant remanded in prison custody pending the perfection of his bail application.
