A female resident of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Anike Alli-Halimat, is warning other residents, and indeed all Nigerians, to be vigilant whenever they board taxis as some criminals have devised a new method of posing as taxi drivers where they would attack and rob their passengers.

A female passenger in Abuja has revealed the face of a taxi driver who robbed her of her belongings after her phone tracking device was used to nab him.

According to Halimat on her Twitter page, she had boarded a taxi few days ago only for the driver to rob her of her bag and phones.
But she was lucky as the thief was apprehended when she reported the theft to the police whose used the tracking device she had installed in her phone to locate the criminal and he was arrested in a village close to the Center of Unity.
