Nasarawa state governor, Tanko Almakura

The Governor said the government took the decision to reduce workers’ salaries so the government can focus on other sectors of the state’s economy.

He also called on the striking workers to call end the industrial action and return to work.

Al-Makura said “I want to appeal to the striking workers to go back to work as the decision by the state government to review their salary downward was a result of dwindling economy.
