A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Mu’azu Zabira, has urged Nigerians to pay their tax to help the nation exit the current economic recession.

”Paying their tax as at when due is part of the contributions that all patriotic citizens should make to enable Nigeria exit the current recession,” Zabira told newsmen in Sokoto on Sunday.

According to him, such patriotic act would facilitate service delivery to Nigerians.

” If we do not duly pay our taxes, how can the three tiers of government get the needed funds to execute development projects.

” The earlier all Nigerians realise this, the better for both the government and the citizens,” Zabira said.

He also called on Nigerians to pray for the nation, be patient and support President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to move the nation forward.
