The late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, will be buried on Friday, August 14, 2015, his son has said.
Monarch to be buried tomorrow, August 14
Oba Sijuwade’s death was officially announced on Wednesday, August 13, after he passed on in a United Kingdom hospital on July 28.

The monarch’s son Adetokunbo told journalists at the Government Office in Osogbo, Osun State that the Oba’s body would arrive Nigeria on Thursday and be buried on Friday at 10 a.m.
Burial rites have already begun in Ile-Ife, where the Oba’s palace was, and residents have been instructed to stay indoors.
