Patience Jonathan, the former First Lady of Nigeria is notably absent from the inauguration ceremony currently taking place at Eagle Square, Abuja.

There has been no word as to why she was absent from such a monumental event in the nation's history as the outgoing First Lady, she has however battled ill-health through the years her husband has been in office.
Dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony include, former presidents Olusegun Obasajo, Ibrahim Babangida, African leaders including Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, South Africa's Jacob Zuma, Liberia's Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson amongst several others.
