Ibitoye made this appeal in a sallah message on Wednesday in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara.

The traditional ruler also enjoined the faithful, especially the wealthy individuals to extend a helping hand to the needy and the less privileged in the society.

Ibitoye said the country was presently passing through a difficult period in terms of socio-economic development.

He noted that only a divine intervention through prayers of all the stakeholders could save the country from its present insecurity and other numerous challenges.

The Olomu prayed for Allah's wisdom and guidance for Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed, the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki in their efforts to transform the state and the country.

In the same vein, the Elegosi of Egosi kingdom, Oba Daniel Dada, urged Muslims to remain tolerant, united and also imbibe the spirit of peaceful co-existence.

He expressed optimism that with prayers, the present economic crunch facing the nation would be a thing of the past.

Dada expressed the support of the traditional rulers for the State Government in its bid to bring succour to the people, especially at the grassroots.

Also speaking, Prophet Christopher Owolabi of the Christ Apostolic Church, Ori-Oke Irapada, Omu-Aran, felicitated with Muslims faithful on the Sallah celebration.

He urged them to continue to sustain the peace and harmonious relationship existing between the followers of the two major religions in the state.
