According to Channels TV, two female suicide bombers carried out the attack which occurred at about 7:00am on Wednesday, April 20.
Seven people were said to have been killed and many injured.
The attack follows the operational visit of the General Officer Commanding 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu, to troops in the region.

The Commander's convoy was said to have been ambushed on its way to Bama, leaving one soldier dead and two injured.
