In Abuja Water maintenance to affect 7 districts

A proposed water maintenance to be carried out by the Abuja water board in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja will interrupt water supply in Seven District, a government statement said.

The statement was issued by Muhammad Hazat Sule, Deputy Director / Chief Press Secretary on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

It read that said residents of the Federal Capital Territory will face interruption in water supply because the Water Board will carry out routine maintenance of its facility in Tank 2, Katampe District on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Accordingly, this routine maintenance will disrupt normal water supply to Gwarinpa, Utako, Jahi, Katampe, Jabi and Gwarinpa I (Life Camp) and Karmo Districts. 

The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, according to the statement notes that the maintenance work is to ensure uninterrupted supply of water to all residents of the Federal Capital Territory and assures that normal water supply would be restored on Friday, 29th April 2016. 

Thus, the Minister regrets the inconveniences this water supply disruption may cause the residents of the affected areas.

He also solicits for the support and understanding of the residents of the Federal Capital Territory to enable the FCTA achieve President Muhammadu Buhari’s vision of ensuring uninterrupted, clean and potable water supply to all Abuja residents.
