According to the minister, as a non-governmental organization, if they register with BPP, it will enable it to monitor the activities of contractors in the country.

The minister gave this charge on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, while receiving the leadership of the National Contractors Association of Nigeria led by it National Chairman, Mr. Onuche Okoh.

He said the Procurement Act has given NGOs and Civil Society Organizations a window to register with the BPP to participate as watchdogs in the entire contract processes in the country.

In a statement signed by Muhammad Sule Hazat, the minister encouraged the association to study the act and take advantage of the window provided to strengthen the performance of contractors in the country.

National Chairman of the National Contractors Association of Nigeria, Mr. Onuche Okoh, frowned at several numbers of uncompleted buildings scattered across the country and promised to help eradicate abandoned projects.
