Agency invites Saraki's wife, Yar'Adua's daughter for questioning over alleged N2b fraud

According to Premium Times, Zaina committed the alleged crime while her husband, Saidu Dakingari served as Kebbi governor.

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly invited Toyin Saraki, wife of the Senate President, former President Umaru Yar’ Adua's daughter and wife of former Kebbi State Governor, Zaina Dakingari for questioning over alleged N2billion fraud.

According to Premium Times, Zaina committed the alleged crime while her husband, Saidu Dakingari served as Kebbi governor.

The online newspaper obtained that Bukola Saraki's wife is to be quizzed over the strange inflow of funds into companies where she has interest.

She is expected to to report at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on July 28, where she would be probed by a special team of investigators

Similarly, Dakingari, who was expected to honour the anti-graft agency's invitation today, July 22, was said to have pleaded to be spared till July 27 for her questioning as she is away in Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj.

However, when contacted on the reported invitation of the women, the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said “I’m aware that a new set of suspects were recently invited,” Mr. Uwujaren said. “It’s not impossible the two women are among them.”
