In a short video on Youtube, Senator Melaye displays his excitement with dance steps in his office as he sings to his confirmation amidst the certificate scandal.

Garba had on Monday, March 27, confirmed Melaye as a ex-student of the institution while appearing before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges.

“Yes. From records, Dino formerly known as Daniel Jonah Melaye graduated from ABU. BA Geography,” he said.

According to the documents as seen by Pulse,  Senator Melaye who was known at the time as "Jonah Daniel Melaye."

The Senate agreed to investigate the claims after a petition by Senator Ali Ndume.

Sahara Reporters had accused Melaye of bribing his Head of Department (HOD) to forge his transcript and stealing a television from the National Association of Geography Students in ABU among other things.
