Lai Mohammed, Fashola, 2 others to attend inaugural town hall meeting

The Civil Society-and-Citizen-driven accountability platform, will hold at 10am on at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.

According to the organisers, the Centre for Democracy and Development, the event will afford President Buhari's administration the opportunity to give account of achievements in the last one year.

Idayat Hassan, CDD’s Director further said, “It will afford the government an opportunity to report back to her constituents and give the citizenry an opportunity to engage directly with government on burning national issues. We at the CDD believe that this interaction is critical to strengthening democratic accountability in Nigeria.”

Other ministers that will be joining Mohammed and Fashola include Audu Ogbeh, Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Amina Mohammed Minister for Environment, and Former Senator Udo Udoma, Minister for Budget and National Planning.

According to the Aso Villa newsletter, the event is conceptualized to provide methodical and systematic assessment and evidence-based report on the performance of Mr. Buhari’s administration against its electoral promises.
