'Media, CSOs not strong to help president,' says Bala Sanga

Adamawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Bala DSanga has said that Nigeria media and the Civil Societies are not strong enough to help President Muhammadu Buhari execute the war against corruption.

Adamawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Bala DSanga has said that Nigeria media and the Civil Societies are not strong enough to help President Muhammadu Buhari execute the war against corruption.

He said the Nigeria judicial system, civil society organizations and the media which are vital components for any anti-corruption war to succeed are too weak.

Sanga who applauded President Muhammadu Buhari's fight against corruption, called on the administration to create conducive atmosphere for the war in every sector.

"For any anti-corruption war to succeed,certain ingredients must be in place. Political will to fight corruption as examplified  by Mr President and effective law enforcement, judiciary, civil society and the media. But all need to be strengthen," Sanga said.

He said the Code of Conduct Bureau, ICPC and EFCC are grossly underfunded and under-trained to meet the challenges.
