“Now they are excited about their freedom. Tomorrow there will be screenings to determine whether they are Boko Haram wives…how long they have been in the camps, and if they have children,” a source told Reuters.
The source reportedly added that some of the girls were injured while some of the militants were killed.
According to an Amnesty International report, Boko Haram has abducted 2,000 girls and women since the beginning of 2014.
