4 things Abike Dabiri wants the court to grant her

She sued Diamond bank Plc and Punch Newspapers Limited for libel. The affidavit was filed by Lagos lawyer, Adetokunbo Mumun.

 

The bank debtors' list saga is not going away anytime soon. Following the release of the  list, there has been accusations, counter-accusations and denials flying everywhere.

Caught in the web of this now famous list, is the Fmr. House of Rep member, Abike Dabiri.

She took to Twitter to say that she was not owing the bank, claiming it was the work of her detractors.

She has since gone to court to do the needful-seek for redress.

She sued  Diamond bank Plc and Punch Newspapers Limited for libel. The affidavit was filed by Lagos lawyer, Adetokunbo Mumun.

Hon. Dabiri is asking the court to grant her these four prayers:

1. N500million against the defendants jointly and severally as damages for the reputational injury she had suffered

2. A court declaration that the publication which has no foundation in truth, have defamed and injured her character and suffered reputational damage.

3. A court to order on the defendants to pay N3million being the sum paid as professional fees to her solicitors

4. An order of the court directing the defendants separately and jointly to render a public apology to her in respect of the false publication made which must be publish in three national dailies in addition to the punch publication.
