Garba said the committee has former Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Bature Shinkafi as Chairman, while Alhaji Kabiru Imam will serve as its Secretary.
"The committee is to investigate the remote and immediate causes of the fire. It will also find out the extent of damage as a result of the inferno.’’
The committee was asked to suggest ways of preventing future occurrence and make general recommendations for government's possible assistance to the victims.

He said the committee had been given two weeks to submit its report to the government.
The market, popularly known as Kasuwar Danjabalu, was gutted by fire on Sunday night.
Although there was no loss of life, the goods and property destroyed by the fire are said be worth millions of naira.
