Ex-Gov reportedly speaks on Ikoyi property after EFCC recovered $50M

It was further reported that Mu'azu, an ex-chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, said some apartments have been sold while others are rented out.

According to a tweet by SaharaReporters, Mu'azu reportedly admitted ownership of the Osborne Towers many hours after he allegedly denied the ownership.

On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, operatives of the EFCC in Lagos found an outrageous sum of $50million in an apartment in the Osborne Towers in Ikoyi during a sting operation.

The funds $38million, N23million and £27,000, were reportedly recovered from a safe in a wardrobe in one of the rooms in an apartment inside the Osborne Towers and reportedly belongs to NNPC ex-MD, Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue.

Ogbue has also denied ownership of the funds following media reports that the apartment and cash belong to her.
