TV show returns for season 5

More drama, tension and emotions as Nigerian Idol returns for season 5.

Nigerian creative musical talent hunt show, 'Nigerian Idol' Season 5 has kicked off.

The TV show began airing on NTA, STV, Superscreen, Smash TV, and on some selected TV stations across Nigeria on Sunday, March 1, 2015.

Speaking on expectations from the show, one of the judges, Darey Art Alade says there's more competition this time around;

‘There is a lot of competition, new voices, new faces, I can’t wait to hear them blossom and go up the ranks as we whittle down to the finalists later on as the weeks go by,’ .The winner of Nigerian Idol season Five will be rewarded with N7.5 million, a brand new car, a recording deal worth N7.5 million amongst other prizes.
