Mezie is in need of 10 million Naira financial assistance for an immediate kidney transplant abroad.

According to several reports, the "Labista" actor who has been on weekly dialysis for a while now, is in need of 10 million Naira financial assistance for an immediate kidney transplant abroad.

Dominic and several other film practitioners including popular comic actor Charles Inojie are requesting for donations from the public to save Mezie’s life.

The award-winning actress reposted an image from Inojie with pictures and a bio of the sick actor on Instagram calling on people for their assistance.

“My people, I'm here to plead again for my dear colleague Leo Mezie.. Please let's give whatever we can to save this talented actor's life. God bless you all for standing by Nollywood always”, she wrote in the caption.

Inojie wrote in his original post: "Hello my instagram family, friends and fans all over the world. I ask of u most passionately to give ur widow's mite to help a friend, brother and colleague (LEO MEZIE) who urgently requires a 10million naira medical intervention to stay alive.

"It sounds big, but where there's a will they say, there's a way. Together, we can make this happen. May the sacrificial reward of giving never elude any of us”.

Mezie who joined Nollywood in 2006, became popular after his role in the 2003 movie "Labista." Mezie has featured in movies like "Close Enemy, "King's Sleepless Night," "Empty Throne" among others.
