20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the much-awaited film

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, "Deadpool" features Ryan Reynolds as a disfigured and unstable mercenary who was subjected to an experiment that had hoped to cure his cancer by receiving a regenerative healing factor, but instead ended in a disastrous result.

The film is directed by Tim Miller, with a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Andre Tricoteux, and Leslie Uggams.

In an effort to cure his cancer, former special forces operative Wade Wilson was subjected to an experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, an unstable mind and a "dark, twisted" sense of humor. Armed with new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
