The author and vlogger is of the opinion that people who don't add value to your life should be cut off before they start to have a negative impact.

Makinwa took to Snapchat today, May 10, 2017, saying it's important to let them go and she will be doing just that to some of her social media contacts today.

This comes after the on-air personality shared pictures of her lecture at the New York University (NYU) on Instagram.

This is following mild jibes from her followers who felt she had overblown the planned address which seemed like it was meant for the whole university community.

Makinwa however spoke to only a class of undergraduate on the topic "Building a Successful Brand in the Digital space."
