Looks like Christmas gifts came early for Taylor Swift as she now maintains her position as the most followed celebrity on Instagram. Sorry, Kim Kardashian!

The newly crown 'Queen of Instagram' now has 60 million followers as against hare previous 50 million mark in 2015! The pop star hit the milestone on Thursday, December 24 and fittingly gave her fans a thank-you post to celebrate.

Swift posted a screenshot of the 60 million followers milestone on her page and captioned it, “Well would you look at that. Thanks for the 60 million followers situation guys!” She then added, “Merry Christmas indeed.” That post alone amassed nearly one million likes in just 12 hours.

Well, for the Kardashian fans, Kim K is second place on the list of most Instagram followers at 55 million, while Beyonce is in a close third with 54.6 million.

Part of Swift’s success on Instagram is that she seems to know exactly what her fans want. She’s been posting several Christmas-related pictures in recent weeks, including building a snowman with boyfriend Calvin Harris, decorating a Christmas tree with her dad, and dressing as an elf.

Swift, who really tries to connect with her fans, also posted a photo of herself spending the day with 13-year-old Delaney Clements, who is battling cancer. And naturally, the superstar knows that cute animals are always a hit, having posted numerous photos of her cats, and feeding a kangaroo when she was recently in Australia.
