The pair got married in 2009. His wife who is Igbo by birth converted to Islam as Sound Sultan is a staunch muslim. His wife and mother of his three children changed her name to Farida.
Sound Sultan's real name is Lanre Fasasi and is also a UN ambassador for peace. He is popular for hit song 'ishe' with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.
