The singer took to her Instagram to write her old man a touching and heartfelt letter after his death was announced by his family on Saturday, November 14.
"I missed you even while you were here. I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best. You are free now." the 24-year-old star wrote to dad Joel Levesque alongside an adorable photo of the two together when she was a little girl.
The 'Leave (Get Out)' hit-maker, who rose to fame with her first hit album as a young teenager, grew up surrounded by music — her dad was a blues singer, her mom a church vocalist. JoJo made reference to her father's talent in her sweet, sad tribute to him.
"I will love you always, Dad. I can feel you with me. Rest now. In PEACE. I miss your voice. I wish more people could have heard it. I promise I will keep singing for you," she wrote.
Our condolence goes to JoJo and her family at this time.
