Rapper's felony charges dropped

According to TMZ, the hip-hop mogul’s assault case has been rejected by the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Sean 'Diddy' Combs won't be charged with a felony after his alleged brawl with the UCLA assistant coach, Sal Alosi on June 22.

According to TMZ, the hip-hop mogul’s assault case has been rejected by the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Well not to get too excited, reports say the 'Bad Boy for Life' artist's case will now be reviewed by the Los Angeles City Attorney, which means he could still face misdemeanor charges.

We earlier reported that Diddy claimed he was acting in self defense after getting into a confrontation with his son’s football coach and an intern, during which he allegedly assaulted them with a kettlebell.

A rep for Combs Enterprises Nathalie Moar, tells The Associated Press that: ''The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.''

Diddy was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats after an altercation went down over Alosi scolding Diddy’s son, Justin Combs.

Diddy was released on an alleged $50,000 bail.
