Rioting fans disrupt singer's Congo concert

The singer reported that a female music artiste, who was supposed to open the stage before his performance, was raped on the night of the riot.

 

According to Davido, who commented via his Snapchat on Friday, July 8, 2016, a female artiste who was supposed to open the stage for him was raped in the violence.

He wrote, "there’s a riot at my show. Police VS fans, crazy F**king shit. They raped one of the opening acts opening for me".

Fellow Nigerian singer, Wizkid, who was also listed to perform was also affected by the incident, which brought the state security to a face-off with the fans.

This is following reports concerning the cancellation of Wizkid's performance in London due to Visa problems.
