Toyin Aimakhu, Emem Isong are a year older today

Toyin Aimakhu was born on September 5, 1984 in Auchi, Edo state but spent her early life in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Toyin Aimakhu was born on September 5, 1984 in Auchi, Edo state but spent her early life in Ibadan, Oyo state. She holds a Higher National Diploma certificate in marketing from Ibadan polytechnic.

She began acting in 2003, when Bukky Wright, visited Ibadan to shoot a movie. currently an actress, producer and director, Toyin has featured in several Nigerian films, such as "Alani Baba Labake", "Ebimi ni" and "Iya Ibadan".

The elated actress took to Instagram to celebrate her special day. "Who am I Lord that you are mindful of me? Who am I that you should hear me when I call? it’s been a roller coaster year but I’m grateful to God for his mercies over me even when I least deserve it. I don’t know what lies ahead of me but I know God's plans for me are for good and not for disaster, to give me a future and a hope.

Nollywood movie producer, Emem Isong is unarguably one of the most respected filmmakers in Nigeria.

Emem began her career in 1994 and has excelled in writing and producing movies.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar and a diploma in computer science from the Computer Science Institute (NCR).

Some of her movies includes "Promise Me Forever", "Girls In The Hood", "Private Sin", "Behind Closed Doors", "Darkest Night", "Enslaved" and others.
