E! SPECIAL goes after top South African stars

Popular South African rapper AKA and media personality Bonang Matheba have been chosen to become the first African based stars to land on E! Entertainment 'SPECIAL'.

Popular South African rapper AKA and media personality Bonang Matheba have been chosen to become the first African based stars to land on E! Entertainment 'SPECIAL'.

Both stars took to their Instagram pages to share the news with their fans.

Bonang posted series of photos showing her at the 'Announcement Party' on August 12 with the caption: ''Proud to announce: my E! News Special on September 10th at 20:00 on E! Entertainment... '' and ''.... is an incredible host!! Countdown to September 10th 2015!! !NewsSpecial more to come''.

Posting another picture of her during the interview with the top US network, Bonang wrote: ''Dear God. I'm ready when you are. the 1st EVER locally produced SPECIAL on E! Entertainment. You chose ME first! Here's to the MOST HIGH.''

Meanwhile, AKA dropped a clean picture of him during his interview with the network and wrote, ''Super Mega X E! News Special. Coming Soon!''

E!'s original specials are entertainment-related ranging from light fare (such as 25 Cutest Child Stars All Grown Up) to serious fare (such as 15 Most Unforgettable Hollywood Tragedies). It also produces specials centering on investigative and crime stories including E! Investigates, which features topical investigative reports on subjects ranging from Child Trafficking to drug use.
