From Lady Donli to Daramola, we have curated special sounds for the season.
So the Sallah holiday is close, and trust me, the only thing that occupies my brain these days is how I would become the chief Conqueror of fried ram.
The holiday which is to make the Eid-el-Kabir is always special in Nigeria with all the festivities; drinking, eating and visiting others (for the sole purpose of eating more ram. of course.)
But while you are probably reveling in the holiday, don't forget great moments go well with music, and Pulse Music provides that.
We have put together a list of dope records which go well with ram meat. Trust me, you wouldn't know until you try it. These songs were selected mostly from records released by the 'New Wave' artists who are driving a movement in Nigeria music. From Lady Donli to Daramola, we have curated special sounds for the season.
Sallah will never taste the same.
Bonus: We also have Falz and Ycee giving you 'Something light'.
Lady Donli - 'Kashe Ni'
Neo-soul singer, Lady Donli dropped "Kashe Ni" as her first single of 2017. The title literally translates to "Kill Me" in her native tongue, Hausa, of which, we will take as referring to the last words of the ram currently being roasted in the backyard.
Tim Lyre - Relax
Multi-talented R'n'B singer Timothy Oluwajomiloju Oyesanya a.k.a Tim Lyre tells us to just relax this holiday on this dancehall influenced track.
Minz - Story
Fireboy Minz blends afrobeat, reggae, trap, and R'n'B on this self-produced record providing you with a song to kick of the party.

Daramola - Lagos City Wave
American-based Nigerian new wave artist, Daramola sings about new experiences in his life in the same city in which he went through a lot of ordeals. I'm sure we can all relate.
Princess Okoh - Say You

akú \\ fuji x Kliensman - Family Ties

The Grey Area - Sunday Morning
"The Grey Area" is a collaborative album brought to you by story-tellers Kid Marley & 3rty, talking about their journeys from different perspectives.
