The Senate in a united voice on Tuesday, 28th July, 2015, has passed a vote of confidence in the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.
Senate President now enjoys the full support of his colleagues
This puts to rest the various squabbles in the hallowed chambers.

In a motion, which was moved by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the Senate warned security operatives to stop harassing members of the senate or their family members.
Anyanwu said “Considering the sustained interference in the internal affairs of the Senate by detractors and media propaganda against the Senate and senators by selfish politicians. The senate hereby resolved to pass a vote of confidence in the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki; the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; the entire senate leadership as presently constituted.”
The vote of confidence was moved by all the senators from both the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress.
