President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday, February 20, commissioned the 750 megawatts Olorunsogo II Power Station in Olorunsogo, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun state.

Jonathan said during the ceremony that he had fulfilled his promise to make Nigeria’s power sector a top priority.

“I have lived up to my campaign pledge to make the power sector a priority,” Jonathan said.
He also disclosed that a total of $650m had been committed to the power plant.
