OPC exec denies getting N1.6 billion from Jonathan to rig election

OPC executive, Gani Adams, has described the allegation that he received N1.6 billion from President Goodluck Jonathan to rig elections as ridiculous.

The National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Gani Adams, has denied reports that he received N1.6 billion from President Goodluck Jonathan to rig the just concluded general elections.

He debunked the allegation in a press statement on Wednesday, April 15.

“It is indeed ridiculous for any right-thinking person to claim or believe that the president would give the sum of N1.6 billion to an individual,” the statement said.

It said Adams does not have direct access to OPC’s funds.
