He told newsmen that there was some scuffle at a polling unit in the community resulting in security breach, but that security agents quelled the situation promptly.
He said that he particularly monitored the exercise in Ikot Ekpene and Obot Akara because of security report, adding that Comptroller of Prisons, and Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state accompanied him.
He said that turnout of voters was low but stated that it had nothing to do with insecurity.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the rerun was ordered by the Court of Appeal after it nullified April 11, 2015 elections in five state constituencies and March 28, 2015 poll in North-East senatorial district.
The state House of Assembly seats re-contested are Etinan, Ibesikpo/Asutan, Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara, Oron and Itu
